It's watchable. Just a bunch of old blokes playing around with full sized toys.

Some bits are tedious, and documentaries never get everything right, if you ever watch anything you know about!!!

If Brooklands was at the end of our road I reckon I'd be down there drinking tea, and messing with stuff.

I watched the young guy with the Triumph saloon, and that was quite tedious.

On the matter of Napier....I just read the profile of the Napier 40/50, written in the late sixties, and it's an interesting story of car building.

The six cylinder engine was put together quite quickly....... 4.0 litres, and on test it showed a serious vibration which was at odds with the Napier expectation of superb engine building.

They concluded that the rear cylinder had insufficient crankcase bracing, and to fix this problem they fitted a single dished piston into number six, to reduce the compression ratio, and this fixed the vibration. Many years later someone restored one of these engines, and fitted six identical pistons, then couldn't eliminate the harshness and vibration, until told by someone in the know what was needed.
