I bought the Silverline rubber strap wrenches but they did not grip. With some heat after copious soaking in AC90 & much hammering I got the RH exhaust off. Something fell out, the remains of the catalyst about 70mm long 30 mm one end tapering to 20mm. Looking up the exhaust confirmed no cat. Shaking the silencer I got out the disc I cut out of the baffle which had not come clear bending over when I drilled the baffle. Not tested it but this should now eliminate the rattle on start up & tinkling noise from the silencer.
I had got the engine management warning several times which had cleared after a few mile. The loose cat may have caused this depending on how it was lying in the silencer. I replaced the mounting bobbins with Caterham items.
The LH silencer came off easily & looking up the exhaust stub the cat is still there. I reckon I need remove the LH cat.
