Interesting brief summary of prblems with E10. OK its by a boat engine maker but it is still valid. I was not aware of the phase seperation risk
Mercury enginesFor what its worth, boat engines being usually more exposed to water and in sail boats using far less fuel are prone to water / fuel interfaces of the sort described above. ASt these interfaces we get growths of fungi (?) forming a black slime and which does an excellent job of blocking filters pumps and injectors. Doesnt normally happen in diesel cars thanks to high fuel throughput ( small amounts of water just get through the engine) but now might be an issue if phase seperation occurs in a classic petrol engine. Its also already an issue with planes.
