We had a similar problem with our Roadster: Caroline is 5'2" and to be able to operate the clutch sh needed the seat so far forward the wheel was almost touching her chest.
The answer was to get an automatic, at that time the only option was the Plus 8 that we still have.
If your pocket is deep enough the automatic Plus 4 would, I'm sure, do the job.
But platform shoes, once so popular in the 70s, would also work, and cost a lot less...
