We are told that from September they are going to introduce E10 fuel in order to save the "planet". Well, this has got me not only confused but also bemused. What do I do? I have had my Morgan since new and used to get 30 MPG with 4* costing 40 pence per litre since the introduction of E5 petrol this has reduced to 26 MPG, I run the car on Shell V Power currently costing £1.46 per litre. So my dilemma is what do I do? change the fuel tank and fuel lines, I am in the process of replacing the original carburettor with one from Webcon, how does one protect the jets and float chamber from the ravages of 10% ethanol as we all know it is hygroscopic and can also damage aluminium if left in over winter, do I leave the fuel tank full or drain it? I am sure this is a problem that is going to affect a significant amount of Morgan owners and indeed other classic car owners with carburettors. I know GOMOG have an article on E10 Petrol. I would welcome any suggestions and advice my car is a 1983 CVH Morgan4/4.----Swordfish
