Yes Jay I agree. I thought leaving the shell craters in the grounds really shows how bad it must have been.
My grandfather was with the Welsh Regiment in Gallipoli where he got frostbite but then luckily he went to the middle east going from Cairo to Dmascus with Lawrence of Arabia.
We did go to another museum once on the D Day beaches but not the one in this thread & I can't remember where.
