Whilst I understand the nostalgia and the desire for a classic car (in general) surely the "ultimate spec +8" has got to be the 380bhp modern car with ABS airbags (I am assuming here) and all the more modern accoutrements?
As such I'm with you Brian

I understand that price may be an issue and that the Moss box +8 is very desirable for historical reasons etc but the question was what's the ultimate spec?
One off's are a different matter (Le Mans, GM engined) and I guess slip under the radar

but for me I'd still prefer a factory spec uptodate powerful beast, and I personally like the thought that my car has a BMW engine for the reputation that it carries.
Now "which is the most desirable Morgan?" will be a completely different prospect to different people. However for a man of my
calybre (for which, read, can barely change the oil and would hate to have to fettle before going for a drive) . The answer is obvious: there's one in my garage
