If it's cold out, I wear a helmet. In bright, sunny days, I wear a river hat with neck "curtain" for sun protection unless I plan freeway speeds. The front of the hat gets blown up at speed, exposing my dainty visage to the ravages of the sun, so back to the helmet. My helmet is bluetooth equipped but I haven't charged it in years. Somebody might want to phone me in the middle of a ride. Talk about a buzz kill.
I use the phone to answer verification calls from doctor appointments. As a 2 time cancer survivor, and surviving many other maladies that can kill you missing an appoint reminder could be fatal.
