The battery in my 2015 4/4 has expired, terminally as one might say. I removed the clamps and tried to recharge it but it does not get up to full juice. I decided to remove it and obtain a replacement. It was only then that I noticed that this battery, a Banner Uni Bull, is unusual in having two positives and two negatives. The front set, to which the clamps are attached, are cylindrical with chopped sides; but the clamps are circular and would fit on the other side, where the posts are regularly cylindrical. That would not work, however, because Pos and Neg would be on the wrong sides for the clamps.

I do not need to add, “Stop me if I am boring you” because I am boring myself. But I need a solution.

I live in France and drove to two car-stuff shops, Feu Vert and Vidalauto. Men in each of these looked at the battery, tapped my registration into their computers and then looked bewildered and said that they were unable to help.

I drove home, disgruntled as well as bewildered, and did some Googling. I found a site offering batteries supposedly suitable for a 2015 4/4 One of these is a Banner Power Bull. It is evidently not identical to mine, apart from the name. It seems to have only one set of posts and it is shorter (207mm instead of 240). Two crucial things: it has the same width (175mm), so would fit into the cradle, and Pos/Neg are in the correct places. And the price is right - with free delivery.

Have I missed something or is this the one to go for? Thanks in advance for advice.
