Reiver, when I did my earths on the 4/4 a few years ago I bought the wires from Halfords. Measured the lengths needed and bought them. They are designed and made to a standard and cheap enough. When fitting them I cleaned contact areas, used stainless bolts and smothered the connections with petroleum jelly.
I applied the KISS principle!
