I do use tyre dressing - sparingly - and preferably satin wipe-on-with-a-cloth rather than gloss spray.
BUT - and surely we've all experienced this ? - walk too close past one (especially at the front, if they're not parked completely straight) and you'll get your jeans (or socks if you are in your plus fours) besmirched.
