Alexander, I have no experience of the M16 so this might be irrelevant.
I have a T16, when cold or damp it it may not start first go, when it does start after a couple of turns of the key it often runs badly, high tickover, misfiring etc which is probably ovrer fuelling. The cure is to turn off, turn off and on red key which re-sets the ECU, it will then run fine.
Its the equivalent to turning a computer off at the wall.
