I was nabbed by a village cop on a very fun road. He had a great deal of empathy, however and lowered the written speed down to 78mph. Had he put in the 'real' speed I was doing it would have entailed me being handcuffed in the back of his patrol car and the M3W being towed to the impound lot. Anything doing over 30mph ABOVE the posted limit gets this treatment.

It was a beautiful day and I happily paid the fine. It wasn't that terrible.

Anything 30mph or above of any given speed limit is an instant ban here on the island if they chose to exercise it .
About 35 years ago I got clocked at 115mph in a 70mph area and it concentrated the mind a bit waiting for the hearing, it also cost a bit for defence but I was lucky,
