Its not a manufacturing defect me thinks, but all the cars are hand made and are slightly different ,so some screens are under more stress than others when fitted.
Even jacking up on one corner could twist the body and put the screen under stress.
Heated screens do seem to be more fragile...


The heated screen have been fitted (I think) for about 12 years. This problems seems to have appeared over the last 18 months or so, so something has changed.

Would it not be sensible to contact all of the Morgan user groups to try and get as many incidents as possible and present these the the MMC to try and get an explanation as to what the issue is? It patently is not the old style hood or using the windscreen as a support to get out of the car otherwise there would be a history of spontaneous window cracking stretching back 12 years.
