In 2017, I replaced my Porsche 911 Turbo S with a 2018 Model Porsche Panamera 4 e-Hybrid. During the winter months, I was filling up my 911 about every three weeks. I am retired and don't use the car that much in winter months. Since changing to the e-Hybrid, where I charge every night on cheap rate electricity, I fill up about every 2½ months, as I can do the majority of my shorter winter journeys on battery. A full charge costs me around £2.00 for a winter range of about 22 miles. I would therefore say that the plug in hybrid has substantially reduced my consumption of hydrocarbons. On the downside, I don't enjoy driving the Panamera as much as I did the 911. It is fast enough (4.2 secs 0-60mph) but it is very large and feels quite heavy. However I have my G56 stage 2 M3W in France and a 1977 3.3L 911 RSR in the UK, as fun cars when needed.
