Finally bit the bullet & purchased Phil's Cush drive assembly to replace the Centa Coupling. including a new clutch plate .
Phil provided a wealth of details & the local Morgan Service Agent, Cremorne Prestige did an excellent job. Gone are the nasty shudders, particularly when stopping & the revs drop to idle passing through 2000rpm.
As Phil describes, I can drive smoothly at 2000rpm which means 60kph in fourth gear. Even the large Aussie style wing mirrors stopped vibrating!
It is now a pleasure to drive. Also took the advice to enlarge the bell housing to allow donut replacement without dismantling the engine & drive assembly. The new oil seal is a plus.
The Bleazey Cush Dive with extra bearing seems to solve a design fault which allowed the Centa Coupling to go out of balance if the donuts wear or disintegrate unevenly,
which happened very quickly with my M3W.
