When my mid 80`s +8`s rev counter started playing up I bought an identically faced "digital" replacement, which had dip switches to configure it for an 8 cylinder engine. I did a write up at the time which may be on GoMoG with some pics. Once I had the new one working, I sent them the original to be repaired, and when I received that back in working order I fitted it and keep the digital one as a spare...

The digital came with green lighting which was rather nice, but all the other instruments are white lit, Carebont sent me a white LED to replace the green one in the digi instrument.

Not the fastest folk to deal with but they got the job done.
