That's great news. I am curious as to why the original ignition amplifier was replaced if it was working OK?
Preventative maintenance - the car is 22 years old, and most of these parts aren’t expensive. I serviced the car last spring and replaced plug leads, coil, rotor arm, ignition module and all the relays, kept everything displaced for the onboard and workshop parts departments. Sadly both the genuine Lucas ignition module and Bosch coil failed within about 3,000 miles.
