Picture not very clear Leroy, but If it's a connector on the gearbox rather than the Morgan loom then it could be an unused speed or gear selection signal. If it's the loom then there are two reversing light plugs wired in parallel, to suit different gearbox's I assume. The smaller green moulded connector is used on 2006 Roadster's.

Been under again today to top up some waxoyl and to put a bit more rust converter on and that electrical connection is definitely independant from the loom. There is another sensor bolted in which connects to the loom. So this must just be a redundant one for a purpose that's not needed. I wonder why they just didn't fit something to blank it off or even cut off the wire. It's pretty inaccessible where it enters the gearbox 🤷‍♂️
