Simon,
The CEO of Tesla reminds me of our, for now, PM.
Incredibly bright but at the same time naive and somewhat detached from the real world.
Tesla cars are sold on hype and emotion: one could say so are Morgans: some wonderful features and some really unacceptable flaws.
The Morgan flaws are, for me, easier to live with than the Tesla ones.
Tesla cars are also very cheap, for what they are, and it shows in fit, finish and interior materials. Specify a BMW i4-50 to the same level as a Tesla M3 Dual Motor and you are looking at £20k more.
IF i was commuting 50 to 100 miles each day then the Tesla would stay, but i'm not. I'm 70% retired and work from home.
So we agree, Plus 8 and C43, possibly change the Plus 8 for a Plus Four.... but I like the noise...!
We had an A43 for a couple of years, SWMBO wasn't impressed and in the end, neither was I.
Why keep the C43? it has selectable noise settings and no nanny state safety aids, other than distance from the car in front. The next C43 model will have all this rubbish, as will all mainstream cars. For me, in my dotage, I'll stay with older cars that demand drivers attention and involvement....
