Not sure if you are expecting a response or not but I suppose my response would be that 240-250 is not excessively hot, did your oil cooler fan come on, what temp setting is your oil cooler thermostat set at and what is the definition of looking crap, if it was a dark color that's normal? The Urban Cooler fan won't come on unless you are stationary or going under 12mph.
