Success. Thanks Dave. I used boiling water from a kettle to heat the nut, and the standard, unopened and still in its wrapping, spanner and mallet to slowly get it off. Took quite a lot of bashing which was very close to the rims so I taped those up with electrical tape just in case. Mrs FT operated the front brakes. Think I'll give the threads a good clean and a re-grease before reassembling. I've not been greasing the kingpins as enthusiastically as I used to after suffering grease on the discs so haven't been taking the wheels off regularly. Might just have to start cleaning the inside of the rims more often so I get to take the wheels off.
