Thanks for replies from two 4/4 owners, but it only answered my question 1. Not sure if it is the same arrangement as the +4.
The issue as I see it is that the bottom fixing of the bobbins is on a L shaped bracket that is bolted to the chassis. The top fixing is on a plate that shares a fixing with the silencer u- clamp.It looks to me that the only way of doing it is to remove the L bracket, but are the bolts that hold it, captive, or are they likely to either slip inside the chassis rail or when re- tightening, go round and round.
That’s really all I need to know.
