Way back, maybe around 1982, a local farmer rebuilt a couple of Merlins for static running. We got to know him, and he asked us to dispose of a rotted out Midget in his barn. We went over one Saturday and stripped it down in the day. I can't remember where the parts went.
In his woodshed, covered in logs was an MGA Coupe. Not a shred of paint remained on it. In his barn was a 60s Lotus Elite, semi dismantled. There was something else quite exotic, but time has erased that from my memory now. Might have been a Lagonda. One outbuilding was rammed with mostly MGA body panels. He was typical of the 80s hands on enthusiast. He had all the space he needed. Few are left nowadays.
