From what I understand any breakdown of the rollers happen over time rather than a sudden failure (maybe the original compensator did?)
Some people do many thousand miles with no problems. I look on it like a clutch, at some point it will wear and need replacing and no point replacing it beforehand, if it gets rumbly and causing problems I will investigate until then I will enjoy my ride.
I have a 2019 that I purchased new. I never raced it but the rollers were disintegrating at less than 2500 miles. A bore scope showed rubber fines about drip coffee ground size in the bellhousing but it still ran and ran fairly well, just a slight vibration.
This is what I found at 2500 miles when I did the Bleazey Centa.

Note the fine particles. The small chunk came out when pulling the Centa apart.

Not age related but probably compound related or someone else who might have been driving it into a transport container was doing burnouts.
Putting it back together with the pilot bearing installed.

Test fitting before locking everything together.
