Three of us took our M3W's to New Zealand in 2019, 3 cars in one container, Bespoke Handling organised the shipping and all of the paperwork so we just dropped off the cars near Gatwick and drove them away in Auckland. Cost at the time was £4400 each which covered everything, container, shipping all paperwork insurance whilst in transit etc, if I recall the actual container cost was less than half that figure but all the paperwork and moving the container by road added up. Outbound they went via Panama Canal and took about 8 weeks, returned via Suez and about 12 weeks. Insurance whilst in NZ was though Classiccover.co.nz, AA breakdown cover bought on arrival in NZ.
We spent three weeks driving, covering about 3000 miles. Overnighting in Auckland, Ompare, Pahia via Cape Reinga, Orewa, Whangamata via Coromandel peninsula, Rotorua, Ohakune, Palmerston North, Wellington, Nelson, Punakaiki, Hanmer Springs, Otira, Fox Glacier, Wanaka, Te Anau and Milford Sound, Invercargill, Dunedin, Tekapo, Christchurch. The cars were then shipped back from Christchurch.
