I was talking to a relative at the weekend - he lives up in Derbyshire and is a member of the funny handshake club. He says there were a whole raft of people who were given a £30000 bung as a precurser to a complulsory purchase order on their properties, and then they changed the HS2 route so they can now keep their houses and the £30,000......
