As another trad +8 owner welcome to the forum.
The 35th Anniversary model is a well liked iteration at the very end of the trad +8's production.
I hope you get as much enjoyment from it as we do from ours.
The ignition and fuelling are controlled by the Lucas SAGEM (Gems for short) system which can be quite complex initially , but there is a lot of expertise here to help. The addition of Tornado chips (one for fuel and one for ignition) does improve things , as does the addition of knock sensors . However the previous owner might well have already carried this out as it was a very well known upgrade.
