Thank everyone - I've now taken a look and apologise for wasting everyone's time! Learning curves are sometimes steep but my relationship with my grease gun, which now know is a Wanner ('cos I've been back to the garage and looked at it!) has been hit and miss for a while.
I'll go and read about how to do things properly, but in my defence, when I bought it for £5 at the canal jumble, the t'internet wasn't as useful as it is now!
