It will be interesting to see how Morgan reacts to the UK 2030 deadline for ICE car sales. If it moves upmarket and away from its traditional domestic market to markets that are still thinking about ICE sales beyond 2030, it may survive for a time, maybe on lower volumes. However, it does beg the question how much of the handcrafted content of a Morgan has to be produced in the UK and could we see manufacturing moving abroad at some point in the future especially if the UK market is less important to Morgan.
However if the ICE is ultimately doomed, how they transition to an EV and still deliver that traditional handcrafted increasingly exclusive product will be interesting as the traditional Morgan market demographics are changing.
