Yes, like MMC and Porsche, suppliers are used for some components. However, you would be amazed on just how much, or better yet how little it not hand crafted into the car. Dare I say much more hand-built than Morgan and Porsche combined!
You would be amazed to find out by the way that even Porsche has some body parts brought in painted and then build into the car in final assembly, some of the interior etc. Minor bits but still.

Truth be told, even a Honda Civic is for the most part hand built. Robots can't stitch seats, apply the covers etc. Nor do they feed the wiring, assemble the dash nor build engines. Just saying...
I somewhat see your reasoning but having gone through ordering my Morgan and spec'ing two 718's (GTS and Spyder), the cars sever two widely different purposes IMHO. Price wise it is a question many would ask, why get A when I can have B.
