Think mulfab is about the only choice now that Si fab has given up. I fitted one of his and the original fan bolted directly on, minus the old cowling, which is not needed. Cooling is more than adequate; the temperature gauge runs slightly lower than previously. On odd occasions when stuck in traffic, the fan has come on for a short while and dealt with the excess temperature in no time.
If doing the job yourself, note that it is easier to remove the fan unit from the rad whilst in the car, and pulling them down separately.
Edit: Just noticed you have a plus 8, which I know run a lot hotter, so maybe await advice from a plus 8 owner to confirm about fan. I know that some people have installed a fan thermostat over-ride switch so that they can leave the fan running continuously in harsh conditions.
