I think that’s good advice for painted wheels because the pressure can take the coating off or get water under the paint. If I remember correctly recent painted wire wheels have stainless spokes but steel rims (I might be wrong or it’s the other way around) so it might expose steel for corrosion

I don’t think it’s too much of a problem with all stainless wires although I never take a pressure washer to anything on my Morgan as there are just too many gaps and opportunities for water ingress into nooks and crannies

In fact I very rarely show it water at all
