As an EV sceptic I half-watched the second programme. I thought the case was well made for hydrogen power (although I kept thinking of a conflagration of airships). No mention of bio-diesel type fuel (unless I was dozing by that stage). There was a segment on making substitute fossil fuel by grabbing the ingredients out of the air, but at 7x the cost of petrol it sounded like a non-starter (see what I did there...). Purchase price for EVs, charging time, range anxiety, out-of-order charge points etc, and general lack of charging infrastructure still sounds like a dead loss. No mention was made of the problems and environmental impact of end-of-life disposal/recycling of the batteries. And this recent news item
