Having a Puma and previously a TD5, My vote would be for the Puma as the better driver, although "better" is subjective in the context of Defenders. The TD5 is a much more characterful engine than the Transit lump though.

Due to a combination of living in an Island 9 by 5, an increasing use of buses and walking and a loss of desire for driving just for driving, the Land Rover has done 400 miles this year and the Morgan 100! If one was to go it would "probably" be the Morgan, but because the Defender has to be kept outside under a Tree, the battle to keep it clean and corrosion free may tip the the balance. A few more years of prevarication left I think.
