Well not quite. The original buyer would have had about £2.5k in buyer's premium on top of the hammer price. The registration plate is difficult to value but similar examples seem to be £5k minimum. But still around £20K profit for someone, if it sells.

It looks like the Mathewson's buyer moved it on quite quickly, the V5 on the Car&Classic site still shows it registered to John McDonald.
