I ditched the RAC this year when the premium went up from £183 to £233 for personal cover. I have now got our shared tintop (Mazda2) covered for £51 with
Start Rescue. I haven't had to call them out yet so I can't comment on their service but they are a Which? recommended provider.
Since I switched my classics' insurance to RH a few years ago breakdown cover has been included as standard. The Morgan failed to start earlier this year and a local garage arrived with a recovery vehicle within 15 minutes so I was very impressed.
