DaveW many thanks for taking time to reply. Those exh manifold fixings seem top notch and remind me a tad of the old brass nuts that used to hold exh manifolds to engines all be it on steel studs, though most times they did come undone without breaking the studs off..

While stainless steel studs into alloy has potential to create issues in time should the stud ever require to be removed, perhaps more so if stainless steel nuts are used on the studs, that it seems some sort of copper alloy might have been used for the nuts it may be likely that no such issue might be suffered in time if the exhaust requires to be removed, which seems ideal.

BTW my +8`s exhaust manifolds are held to the head by stainless set screws given Kevin used stainless wherever he could, I have tried them all to test if they might be seized to the alloy head. Fortunately they are not...
