You are so wise to use the Tremac. I've just popped one into my V8 MGBGT and its a great gearbox. Just don't forget to use high quality auto trans fluid in it (to preserve the synchro rings) not regular gear oil. Mine has no facility for a mechanical speedo drive so best use a new speedo with a gps or hall effect sensor.
