I have a long line of moggers waiting for a R380.

1. I have to know which model the R380 is, the 4x4 version used by Land Rover (which are easy to find and ill not fit a Morgan) or the rare 2WD version used by Morgan and TVR. Do you have a serial number. That will aso indicate when it was made. The pre-Febuary R380s must be rebuilt to correct an internal defect.

2. What type of bellhousing is it? That will indicate your car year.

P.S. There are two UK suppliers that sell bespoke cast bellhousings for T5 to Rover V8 bellhousings. Makes life simple for the post 1977 crowd. They can be used for the Rover 4 speed. They can be used for Mossboxes (1968-1972) but that gets problematic. And for the 1986-1970 crowd, it is smarter to just sell it to a UK racer for LOTS of money. They sell for more than a low mileage Plus Fours and Plus Sixes
P.P.S I do not recommend you use anything but a World Class T5. The power of a Rover V8 quickly snafu the other variants.
P.P.P.S I have often mused about a T5 transplant but did not do it. The Morgan Rover Plus 8 stock gear ratios are made for a truck. frown
