The Moto-Lita bosses are expensive and I don't like the aesthetics of the wave/stacked rings design.
IMHO the wave design is a safety aspect.
Last year I have seen a Motolita boss after an accident (50km/h)!
I was amazed at how much the Boss was pressed together on one side like an accordion...
Agreed, I also thought the sort of bellows style of machining was to create a crumple zone in the boss
