However like all crimp systems they are subject to a few conditions.
1, You have to have the correct sized crimp for the size of cable you are using.
2, You have to have the correct ratchet crimpimg tool to make them off.
3, You are using good quality crimps and not fakes.
I only buy my crimps from a couple of particular suppliers. I have in the past bought some from auto jumbles and found that they can be just pulled off the cable without any effort.

I agree wholeheartedly John. Particularly with the last sentence. Point 1. is also perhaps one of the most important too. Often the incorrect size is used and I would suspect that this is the most common cause of failures.

All of the above apply also to the uninsulated terminals with the added advantage that you can visually inspect the result and give it a touch of solder if there are any doubts. When it comes to connecting multiple wires I prefer something like these:
