On the other hand buying such a sophisticated and expensive machine from other than an official dealership has the potential to be disappointing in the passage of time.
There would seem to be no guarantee to match that of an Official Porsche Dealership (OPD) given the backup they have available. Porsche like most modern vehicles seem not to be without their occasional issues.
Given the potential cost of maintenance and repairs these days I suspect I would feel somewhat vulnerable buying a modern pre owned performance car without guarantee... Once a Porsche is outside the manufacturers guarantee period Porsche dealerships can provide access to extended guarantee insurance for their cars up to just under 15 years of age, and something like 140k miles (though don`t quote me)
My OPD were happy to carry out a complimentary check when I first bought my C4S, and in the Porsche system, further to that if requested and at cost to the customer, after three months of ownership, they will carry out a 111 point check to determine condition on any Porsche if purchased outside the OPD dealership, and if it passes, again at cost to the customer, the car can then be covered by the Porsche extended warranty insurance based system.
All of which seems best looked into should anyone consider buying such a machine, more so perhaps if resale value might ever be thought worthy of consideration down the line...?
As for age being a barrier to enjoyment of ICE engined vehicles, no signs of it in this vid...? (-:
