We were on Shell Energy who are taken over by Octopus. I was looking at this tariff as we have pv solar and batteries.
Has anyone tried it and does it save money?
The calculation is not easy as we loose the export part of the FIT but my man maths says it should work
We are in the same boat. Were with Shell and now (finally) migrated over to Octopus. We are on economy 7 at the moment, which has lower price off peak than Flux and are exporting when the weather is right. But Octopus cant read our meter reliably so we can't take advantage of any of their tariffs that need 1/2 hourly readings including the better export tariff of 15p. Our PV/battery system is new this year so we don't have any FIT. We are waiting for their meter team to get in touch to sort the meter out! We have only had to top up the battery a couple of times overnight in the last 10 days or so.
