How times are changing, I'm sure the current economic climate isn't helping, but the 2800 miles that CX has covered might work out quite expensive for the current owner. I'm not sure, but there may be a correlation between length of waiting times for new car delivery and the urge to flip if not entirely happy with the delivered car.
In the past with lengthy delivery times running into years, most buyers were most likely very keen enthusiasts for idiosyncratic Morgans and having waited years for delivery seemed to hang onto them, even if they rarely used them. Years gone by it was hard to find any real numbers of second hand Morgans for sale.
Today, with very short delivery times and more instant gratification, its not unusual to come across almost new cars with very low mileage up for sale often at giveaway prices. I appreciate the CX recall hasn't help the market, but some of theses cars currently for sale are post the recall, and surely the owners knew about the issues before committing to purchase.
I do wonder whether the CX being very much more main stream in its driving behaviour and handling and more akin to a major manufacturer convertible, that it has lost some of its special appeal. Now at a price point when compared with other manufacturers offerings is lacking in features eg weather proof electric roof and therefore the uniqueness of the design is somewhat dissolved/diminished when compared with a trads competition. Having said that the trad market is currently awash with cars with pricing under pressure and cars sitting for long periods. Then again it may be just the economic climate, maybe people awash with post Covid money gone looking for home, that are subsequently baling out.
