If you can get your car on a chassis supporting ramp with the front wheels off it may reveal witness marks to the issue. Would also give you an opportunity to inspect suspension for anything amiss.
ETA: unusual but could it be a shock absorber
Removing and examining may reveal the cause of noise. You could even take car for a run without them to prove the cause. You will be surprised how little different the car feels, initially at least.
