When the wonders of the World Wide Web were new people were grateful when you explained its intricacies, happy in their achievements and delighting in knowledge gained. Now the novelty has long gone and everyone takes the internet for granted, very few want to know how it works. Even simple concepts like BB and HTML are seen as technical "mumbo jumbo" that a user shouldn't need to be bothered with. It's one of the reasons I gave up doing IT support!
