Hi Mac, welcome to the forum. The water-cooled 911 derivatives are undoubtedly very competent machines at high speed, and can take a tight corner as if on rails in B road situations, but outside of that, although having a fantastic appearance and provide a sense of accomplishment in ownership of an automotive icon, along with quite a few other plus points...(-:
A Morgan requires much more driver input and at normal legal road speeds and as such is a far more rewarding machine to drive even on a trip down to the shops, let alone should you decide to get up at dawn during the Summer months in the lake district and find the roads almost free of the usual traffic...
I too have a Porsche, a PDK C4S, a +8 and live near another of the UK`s wonderful scenic areas, I have also enjoyed a Lakes Weekend organised by the FellMoggers quite a few years back. I am sure if you got in contact with them, there would be folk in their midst who would be pleased to provide help and advice..
Good luck in your choices..
