Love my 4 seaters. I've had 2. first one a 2000 4/4 and now have a 2008 one. Fun for all the family!
With regard to the hood, yes they aren't quick to get up and down and I don't do it very often as I prefer the full half zipped tonneau cover (see I've just colled it a 'Tonneau cover" instead of a "Tonneau" for all you Morgan pedants) and a long flowing rain coat in bad weather. It only goes up if I have passengers. There is a bit of a technique to getting the hood up and down succesfully and because I don't do it very often, it sometimes catches me out, even after 6 years, but there is a good Youtube video from Allon White called "How to put up a Morgan 4 seater hood" from 8 years ago where it shows how you have to extend fully the length of the hood vertically before you pull it over horizontally. It's best with 2 people, one at either side but I can do it on my own by squatting centrally inside the rear seat area (not the most elegant) rather than keep running around each side and back again over and over to keep extending the scissor bars incrementally each time.
