over ten years on and us 3.7 owners still have no simple route to an ECU flash, allegedly all down to the Factory not inputting the VIN of each build into the ECU when it's fired up for the first time, so ends up with a generic lock, even Ford tuning specialists can't crack it
Cain at Wolf Performance has a workaround for getting into the Cyclone engines ECU apparently.
I believe with the CX Plus Fours it's only now that the ECU has been fully locked with John V6 being one of the first, and it's presumed all new cars will follow suit.
